Sterling Selects Cleveland for New Regional Headquarters in 2012
Company Seeks to Establish a Sales, Account Management, and Client Service Hub at its Independence, OH Facility
NEW YORK, May 1, 2012 –Sterling Infosystems, Inc., today announced it will open a new regional headquarters in Independence, OH. After careful consideration, the company selected the Cleveland area over Virginia, Georgia, and various other locations. Sterling is the largest background checking company in North America.
William Greenblatt, Founder and CEO of Sterling, said “Our focus is to build our sales, account management, and client service operations at this important new hub. We have committed a lease extension for 5 years at the Independence facility and we are continuing to expand our professional functions in the area. I look forward to a long and productive presence in Ohio.”
As part of the establishment of a new regional hub in greater Cleveland, Sterling will relocate entire divisions to Ohio. The company is moving its Occupational Health and Safety Department and its Client Relations operations.
Additionally, the new Ohio facility will serve as the company’s core “Center of Excellence” for domestic operations.
Greenblatt commented, “We made the decision to relocate a significant part of the company to Ohio very carefully, and in the end it was a perfect fit—both for our company and for the state of Ohio. The Cleveland area offers high quality infrastructure, a talented labor pool, and an improving economy, and Sterling Infosystems brings job and revenue growth to the area.”
After an initial reorganization which included consolidating operations into the company’s Independence, OH facility, Sterling has begun to grow its operations. In addition to bringing 37 new jobs to Ohio from outside the state, the company has recently posted 3 new positions, and looks forward to additional job postings in the immediate future.
