Why Perform a Motor Vehicle Record Check?
A Motor Vehicle Record check verifies that your new and existing drivers have been safe and responsible behind the wheel when they are expected to drive on behalf of your company, and gives you peace of mind for the trust you place in them.
Regular driver record monitoring helps you maintain an environment of trust and safety while actively reducing workplace concerns.

The Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) service pulls driver’s license status and type, driving record information, violations and citations, and other related information for US and US territory residents.
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring provides proactive driver monitoring for enrolled subjects against state sources. When a change is discovered, a confirmation search is performed with state records prior to reporting. Monitoring services include access to on-demand MVR searches and driver training resources.
The Commercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS) reveals the jurisdictions and license numbers of the current and three prior commercial licenses held by the driver across all states, but does not report driver record history. Typically, the CDLIS search is used with an MVR search to discover the license record details.
The FMCSA PSP provides five years of crash data and three years of roadside inspection data as well as safety performance and inspection data for Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulated drivers. It can only be used for pre-employment screening for FMCSA regulated drivers.
The NDR maintains information on individuals whose privilege to operate a motor vehicle has been revoked, suspended, canceled, or denied, or who have been convicted of serious traffic-related offenses in the reporting state. This search is generally used by air carriers for hiring pilots, as mandated by the Pilot Record Improvement Act (PRIA). The information supplied does not include details of the offense and should be used in conjunction with an MVR search. Use of the NDR requires a notarized form.
A Global Motor Vehicle Report is used to examine driving records associated with licenses held outside of the US or US territories.
